The pattern is artist drawn on monks cloth. Monk's cloth is woven in a basket weave structure which is sturdier, yet just as flexible as the plain weave structure of burlap and other backings. The edges of the cloth are 4 inches to make it easy to attach to your hooking frame. The edges are stitched for stability.
